AREA OF EXPERTISE > Management and Leadership Development
|
|
Leadership accountability drives overall organizational performance. Effective leaders understand the enterprise strategy and deliver on their departmental objectives. They energize and provide clear direction when leading for results. Most important, they understand the impact their decisions and actions have on financial, customer and organizational outcomes — and they take responsibility for those results.
Where do they come from? Accountable leaders are nurtured and given the tools they need to manage in today’s climate of change and aggressive competition. Impact5, a fast-paced one-day business simulation and leadership training game, raises the standard for leadership by putting managers at the center of chaos and letting them learn their way out. In the process, they discover what it means to be successful — for themselves and their organizations.

| The Business Simulation |
| |
In teams of three around a game board, learners become new managers at C-Tech Industries. As the simulation progresses, they face the challenge of getting results, struggle with personnel issues, make decisions about interdepartmental relationships and balance the tactical with the strategic. They get blindsided. They regroup. They analyze. They take action. And, most important, they become part of a larger leadership team, a team whose actions, behaviors and decisions — individually and collectively — impact the organizational, customer and financial success of the business.
Learners are engaged from start to finish as they discover for themselves the five Business Impact Accountabilities that will ensure their success — and that of the organization. |

| Connections — Bridging to Your Organization |
| |
With fresh new insights from the game, managers are now ready to make the connection to their own organizations and jobs. In a session called “Connections,” learners are guided to apply critical-thinking approaches to each of the five Business Impact Accountabilities. An instantly usable Leadership Impact Guidebook helps them through this process. Overall, the session guides learners to explore a variety of issues:
- What are the top three challenges facing my organization
and where do I fit in?
- What challenges do I face in fulfilling my accountabilities?
- What tools can I use to execute on my accountabilities?
Adapt these exercises yourself, or consider working with Paradigm Learning to fully customize the Connections exercises to ensure that the concepts and tools are the best fit for your learners and your company.
Impact5, a business leadership training game and simulation, condenses learning into a one-day experience. Flexible in implementation and focused in delivery, it lets you use your leaders’ time efficiently and effectively. |
